Marcelito Pomoy shared that his achievement in one of the world’s biggest talent search, “America’s Got Talent” is because of his wife Joan.

They say that behind every successful man, there is a strong woman.

This holds true for singing sensation Marcelito and his wife Joan. As Marcelito earned applause and praise for his performance on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” he credits his success to his wife.

According to him, it was Joan who talked with the management of “America’s Got Talent” and arranged everything.

Marcelito shared with Pep, “Actually, ang nakipag-usap talaga sa America’s Got Talent… kasi minsan, wala ako sa bahay… iyong misis ko talaga, si Joan. Siya iyong kausap talaga nila. After that, tinawag na niya ako para makipag-usap about America’s Got Talent.”

Joan also did not fail to keep Marcelito motivated and focused on his talent. He said, “Sobra akong nagpapasalamat sa wife ko. Siya iyung tumulong sa akin, siya iyong nag-build up sa akin pataas. Sabi niya, ‘Hangga’t kaya mo pa, kumanta ka!’”

Marcelito also shared that his wife has been his interpreter because sometimes he gets nervous and have difficulty speaking in English.

Marcelito’s performance went viral as many netizens were impressed with him singing “The Prayer” on both male and female voices.

He is now on his way to compete in the semi-finals round by February and he is just nervous and excited. He also shared a short message for all the Filipino fans who are rooting for him to win.

Marcelito said, “Sa lahat ng mga Filipino, sa Pilipinas o saan man sa buong mundo, maraming, maraming salamat sa paniniwala sa talento ko. Maraming, maraming salamat sa suporta.”
