Are you excited to visit the Land of the Rising Sun for free? This could just be your chance to visit Japan for free.
Japan Airlines Co. Ltd. (JAL) has announced great news that it will be giving away 50,000 domestic round-trip flights for foreign tourists this upcoming summer.
In a statement, they said that their “Win a Trip with JAL” campaign is to encourage foreign tourists to experience less visited parts of Japan and perhaps take some strain off Tokyo when the Olympic Summer Games begins.
The free tickets are only for domestic travel within Japan, meaning visitors must already be in Japan to avail of the tickets. Travel period will be between July 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020. Travelers must be registered outside of Japan and registered under JAL’s Mileage Bank frequent flier program. And you won’t know where you are going until a few days after you apply.
When you apply, JAL will show you four possible destinations. Within 3 days of application, JAL will choose which among the four is your final destination. Family and friends traveling together can apply as a group of up to four people.
JAL states, “Embark on a thrilling journey like no other and see what discoveries await at your mystery destination!”
Application for the free tickets will open on February 2020. More details on the promo will be released by mid-January. The free tickets will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. For more details on the application of free tickets, visit Japan Airlines official page.
