Michael V has one request this coming Christmas season, that is to not receive any material gifts.
On Instagram, the comedian shared a realization on how much he and his family have been so blessed, especially with material things. Michael V shared that they are currently renovating their house and realized how much unused things they have lying around.
He wrote, “Nagpapa-renovate kami ng bahay at habang naglilipat kami, napansin namin kung ga’no karami sa gamit namin ang hindi na namin ginagamit. Meron nga ring mga bago pa na hindi pa nagagamit ever. Parang na-guilty ako. Na-realize ko na I have everything I need and everything I want AND MORE! So we decided to do something about it.”
Bitoy said they already started packing up all the unused item to donate them to their friends, family and even charitable institutions. He wrote, “Nagsimula na kaming magkahon para magamit ng mas makikinabang.”
And while Christmas is supposed to be a time of giving, Michael V decided to request from his friends and family not to give him any material gifts this holiday season. Bitoy clarified that he would rather receive a simple greeting or a “following” on his social media accounts than receive material gifts.
He explained, “I mean, no physical items. Hindi sa ayaw kong makatanggap ng kahit ano this Christmas and birthday ko, pero kung magre-regalo kayo baka puwedeng any of the following na lang: A prayer for good health. A simple, sincere greeting. A Like, Follow or Subscribe sa social media accounts ko.”
The seasoned comedian continued that those kind of non-material gifts are so much more meaningful for him. Michael V said, “Biruin mo, hindi ka na mahihirapan mag-isip ng ibibigay, siguradong maa-appreciate ko pa! It’s a win-win situation!”
