A seven-year-old boy broke the hearts of Internet users with his letter to Santa Claus that contained wishes different from that of other kids his age.
SafeHaven of Tarrant County, a non-profit organization helping him, posted a scanned copy of the letter that Blake wrote, which his mom found in his backpack.
In the letter, he narrated that he and his mom left home because his dad was mad.
“We had to leave our house. Dad was mad. We had to do all the chores. Mom said it was time for us to leave and she would take us to a safer place where we do not have to be scared,” his letter read.
The kid also shared how his dad’s behavior affected him. “I’m still nervous. I do not want to talk to other kids,” he confessed.
Due to this situation, Blake requested that Santa bring them their stuff.
“Are you going to come this Christmas? We do not have any of our stuff here,” he said. He also requested that Santa give him chapter books, dictionary, compass, and a watch.
But the most h
eartbreaking part was Blake’s last request. “I also want a very, very, very good dad. Can you do that too?” the innocent child asked.
SafeHaven of Tarrant County extended their gratitude to those who have sent their donations.
“Thanks to your donations through Santa’s Sack, Blake is getting exactly what he asked for from Santa,” the post’s caption reads. “But with 117 women and children needing shelter this holiday season, we need your help to make sure they have a safe place to stay throughout December.” They are still accepting donations at https://bit.ly/36LW0d7.
The organization also assured concerned Facebook users that the mother and child are in their custody and are now safe.
