A motorcycle rider is being lauded online for going out of his way to help an elderly man.

On Facebook, a netizen named Nilyn Padayhag Baterna from Iligan City shared a video clip showing an anonymous motorcycle rider helping an old man. In the video, the rider can be seen quickly getting off his motorcycle to help assist an elderly man on a wheelchair. Still wearing his helmet, the rider carefully pushed the wheelchair across the busy street filled with many trucks and cars.

Nilyn wrote, “My salute to this rider. Unta ingon ani ta tanan. [I hope everyone is like this] Ride safe and God bless brother.”

An a time when we hear bad news almost everyday, these good stories of kindness easily sparked the emotions of many netizens. A netizen who is familiar with the vicinity shared that the 6-lane street is really accident-prone.

Netize E. Revel said, “Kana maoy Pinoy idol!” [That’s how a Filipino should be.] Another netizen N. Siangko was also impressed and hoped many be as kind as the rider and follow suit in helping others.
