Dreaming of meeting your ultimate “oppa” in South Korea? Well, that wouldn’t be easy whether you have a visa or not. However, you can still spend some time and imitate some scenes from your favorite K-dramas in some parts of the country.

The embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines on Thursday has announced three ways on how to visit South Korea even without having a visa.

According to their website, those who can avail the visa-free entry are (1) tourists in transit to third countries, (2) foreign transfer passengers; and (3) travelers to Jeju area.

Tourists in transit to third countries

Tourist travelling to third countries are allowed except those who are nationals of the 24 excluded countries in their list.

Foreign transfer passengers

These are the general transfer passengers or those who are transferring through the Incheon Airport and taking part in the Transit Tourism Program on their way to a third country or the country of their nationality. This does not also apply to the citizens of the 24 countries that need visas to enter Jeju island.

Visa Free Entry to the Jeju Area

Travelers can also get to visit Korea even without a visa by flying directly to Jeju Island. They can stay there for a maximum of 30 days and just enjoy, relax and have some bonding time with family and friends.
