A vlogger decided to surprise the viral 68-year-old gas boy who has been working in the same station for 47 years.
Basel Manadil, also known as the “Hungry Syrian Wanderer, is again giving unexpected blessings to lucky and deserving Filipinos. This time, Basel decided to surprise a hardworking 68-year-old man who continues to work despite his age.
Basel said, “I saw this post from someone and when I read his story today, without hesitation, I went there without any planning, and there he is! Nandoon pa din sya sa initan at naglalagay ng hangin sa mga gulong.”
He was referring to Kewel Oro’s viral post introducing Lolo Bro. Oro said Lolo Bro has resigned from the company two years ago but continues to visit and offer his services in exchange for tips.
Basel shared he was surprised with the elderly working in the gas station because he used to go there everyday back when he was a student.
Basel explained, “Nakakatuwa lang na sa ganitong paraan pa kame magkikita ni Lolo Bro.”
Basel asked Lolo Bro to have the airs of his car checked and surprised him by giving P1,000 tip for each tire. But that wasn’t enough, the vlogger decided to go with Lolo Bro in his house to gift him with grocery items and rice.
The generous Syrian thanked all those in the gas company for hiring Lolo Bro despite his age. He said, “Salamat sa kompanyang ito at hinayaan magtrabaho si Lolo Bro kahit na umabot na siya sa ganitong edad.”
Basel shared Lolo Bro’s inspiring story to give praise to humble and hardworking men like Lolo Bro. He said, “Nakakainspire si Lolo Bro, dahil sa sipag sa buhay! LODI PETMALU talaga ang mga simpleng tao na mga ito, dapat hinahangaan at tinutularan. Kalabaw lang ang tumatanda, indeed.”
