James Reid has found a new on-screen partner. This time, the actor is going to be paired with K-Pop sensation Nancy of Momoland.
K-Pop fans are rejoicing with the announcement that Nancy of Momoland is going to grace the small screen for an upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye. JaDine fans are also excited as this will be James’ first project since leaving VIVA, his former talent management agency.
Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal made the announcement on Instagram, along with photos of the two celebrities. Details of the upcoming TV series have yet to be released but its working title is “Soulmate.”
Under Dreamscape Entertainment, the teleserye will be directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who’s also responsible for JaDine’s TV series, “On The Wings of Love” and “Till I Met You.”
Celebrities also couldn’t help but share their excitement over the upcoming teleserye. Vice Ganda described it as “major!” Jolina Magdangal also said, “Bongga Tito Deo!”
Nancy Jewel McDonie, is half-South Korean and half-American. Many fans have often dubbed her as the “Liza Soberano lookalike.” Last year, Nancy’s reaction on being compared to Liza went viral. After looking at Liza’s photo online, the K-pop superstar gasped and said, “Wow, she’s so pretty.”

The ladies are in the country as they were formally welcomed to the ABS-CBN compound by the network’s bosses. Momoland’s also here for their “Good Friends in Manila” concert on Saturday, October 5 at the Araneta Coliseum.
