Abunda added that Your Moment is not for the faint-hearted and they won’t sacrifice their judging just to project that the judges are in agreement with each other.

“This is not for the faint-hearted. Competition is tough. We don’t sacrifice our judging because we need to project that we’re in agreement with each other,” Balita quoted him saying during the grand media launch of the show.

More than a decade ago, he was also among the judges of the ABS-CBN reality search Star Circle Quest, as per Bandera.

The popular host noted, however, that there were some changes to the way of judging before.

“Ang importante na sinasabi ko, ako ang baon ko ay ang karanasan ko bilang manager, bilang talk show host, bilang fan. Doon nanggagaling ang komentaryo ko,” he said.

[What is important is that I will bring my experience as a manager, as a talk show host, and as a fan. I will draw my comments from those experiences.]

He said that he likes stories and he wants to understand what the act wants to tell him.

Your Moment marks the first foray of ABS-CBN in original reality formats. It was created thru the network’s partnership with Fritz Productions; a production team from Netherlands having vast international experience in unscripted formats.

Aside from Abunda, international RnB sensation Billy Crawford and multimedia princess Nadine Lustre are also part of the judges.

Your Moment features dance and singing competitions. The performance of the contestants start with black and white which will eventually turn colored. Using their “emotion meter knob,” the judges scores them from 1 to 10.
