Despite being busy with her packed schedule, Heart made sure that family comes first. She made time to be present to celebrate the 12th birthday of her stepchildren.

On Instagram, Heart shared a photo of the twins blowing their birthday candles with their father, Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero. She even made a short caption to imply that she may have moved mountains to be there.

She wrote, “I made it!”

Their photo was a picture of a modern family. Chiz’s fraternal twins are his children from his former wife, Christine Flores. The couple got annulled in 2011 but the kids stayed with Chiz in their Manila home. The former Senator married Heart in 2015. The actress also got pregnant with twins but unfortunately l0st them.

Heart had earlier shared how much she enjoys having a family and a “solid home.”

She said, “I like being married a lot! I feel [much] secured; I feel like I have a solid home. I feel that even if there is ‘gulo’ outside your world or whatever you go through [like] c0ntr0versies, at the end of the day, you have this home and not everybody gets this solid home. It’s comforting.”
