Commuters at LRT-1 were in for a treat with a free concert courtesy of Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo.
Disguising as Persons With Disabilities (PWD), Jennylyn and Dennis had their band set up their instruments and went on to perform. The couple pretended to be blind artists as they sang for the unknowing commuters.
The Kapuso actress was clearly as excited as her fans with their incognito performance. Jen said on their vlog, “Hi mga bessie! For the first time, Dennis and I are going to take on a challenge from one of our fans. Paano kaya namin hinarap ang hamon na magdisguise bilang PWD singers sa LRT1 at kumanta para sa dumaraang mga pasahero? Find out in this video!”
“Again, maraming salamat kina Ate Vivian at Kuya Jericho (blind artists at LRT-1) sa pagpapahiram nila sa amin ng kanilang puwesto at oras sa pagkanta. Maraming salamat din sa LRMC management sa kanilang pagtulong sa amin para maging matagumpay ang episode na ito!”
The couple performed OPM favorites such as Aegis’ “Sinta,” Renz Verano’s “Remember Me,” and Jennylyn’s personal favorite, “Kahit Sandali.”
Jen and Dennis also did a fun song and sang Donna Cruz’s “Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso.” When their concert was almost done, the couple revealed their identity and performed a rendition of Peter Cetera’s “After All.”
The video is now going viral with more than half a million views on YouTube.
Many comments were from netizens who were impressed with their performance. A netizen wrote, “Galing! Good idea.” Another said, “Ganda talaga ng content mo, Jen. Abangers naman sa susunod mong vlog.”
