Dreamscape Entertainment, the producer of the TV series, has confirmed the changes. They also revealed that Erich “resigned” from the project due to “creative differences.”

Their official statement reads, “Due to creative differences, Erich Gonzales has resigned from ‘Love Thy Woman’, a Dreamscape Production from ABS-CBN. Yam Concepcion will be taking on the role of Dana Wong in the series.”

Dreamscape’s announcement seems to confirm the rumors that Erich backed out of the project because her character was going to be turned into an antagonist, which she didn’t approve.

The announcement has received mixed reactions from fans and netizens. While many of Erich’s fans were disappointed to miss the chance of seeing their favorite celebrity back on TV, many also welcomed the development.

A fan account of Erich commented, “Thank you, @dreamscapeph for releasing this official statement. I know that you intend to resolve things privately. But people keep on fabricating negative issues about Erich. Nevertheless, we only wish the best for whole Love Thy Woman and Dreamscape Team. We look forward to your next serye with Erich, your original DS Baby. More power!”

Meanwhile, Fresh from the success of her last teleserye, Halik, Yam is not bothered that she is a second choice.
