A millennial fairytale: ‘My Special Tatay’s ‘BoBrey’ to reunite for a primetime series

Did you miss Boyet and Aubrey? Don’t worry, the well-loved My Special Tatay tandem “BoBrey” is teaming up again for a television comeback through the upcoming series One of the Baes.

According to GMA’s press release, the upcoming television series of  Ken Chan and Rita Daniela will take the viewers on a very special journey; showcasing the ups and downs of Filipino seafarers through the roles they’ll portray. Grant (Ken) is a rich yet kindhearted environmental vlogger while Jowalyn (Rita) is a brave young woman who dreams of becoming a ship captain someday.

Now called “RitKen”, the Kapuso love team’s newest project is also their first primetime TV program. They will be joined by veteran actors Amy Austria, Melanie Marquez, Roderick Paulate, Tonton Gutierrez, and Jestoni Alarcon, as well as brilliant actors James Teng, Kenneth Medrano, Archie Alemania, Joyce Ching, Edgar Allan Guzman, Buboy Villar, Maureen Larrazabal, and Rodjun Cruz.

In an interview, Rita and Ken shared that One of the Baes is a very light romantic-comedy program that will make the viewers fall in love with the idea of falling in love; making their hearts full, making them laugh, making them cry, and giving them inspiration in love and in life. These are the reasons why they call the upcoming television series a “millennial fairytale”.
