- They will star in a movie entitled, “If We Don’t Make It” about people who are “more than friends but less than lovers”
Looks like another “network crossover” is about to happen. Following the announcement of fresh pairings of Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, Carlo Aquino and Maine Mendoza, a new pair from rival networks is set to make another movie.
Kapuso star Janine Gutierrez is Kapamilya hunk Paulo Avelino’s newest leading lady.
The pair will be starring in a new flick entitled, “If We Don’t Make It” under T-Rex Entertainment.
T-REX Entertainment is the production company behind the award-winning MMFF comedy film, “D
eadma Walking” and 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino’s dark comedy, “P at ay na si Hesus.”
Last year, T-REX signed up a content partnership with ABS-CBN Films to make “experimental” and “brave” movies.
Paulo and Janine’s movie offering will be about two people “who are more than friends but less than lovers.”
Janine will be portraying the role of A.M., an ambitious and goal oriented music producer. Paulo, on the other hand, will be playing the role of Harold, A.M’s college friend, a timid guy from the province. Thought the two have different personalities, their love for music will bring them closer to each other.
On T-REX Entertainment’s Facebook page, they shared a photo of their newest on-screen couple. They announced, “We’re super excited for this awesome crossover.”
They also revealed that the movie will be directed by Prime Cruz and written by Jen Chuansu. The two have previously worked together on films Sleepless and Billie & Emma.
More details of the movie will soon be released. Meanwhile, Paulo has an upcoming film entitled, “Fan Girl”. The movie’s writer and director Antoinette Jadaone has been teasing fans on the identity of Paulo’s “mystery leading lady.”
