The first  four entries have genres varying from comedy, horror to drama. Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and MMFF chairman Danilo Lim has announced the following four scripts have been chosen:

Kris Aquino and Derek Ramsey will pair in a film entitled, “Kamp0n.” The two had already worked together in a 2015 MMFF entry, “All You Need is Pag-ibig.” This year, their entry is expected to give everyone chills as they star in a horr0r flick.

Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda will team up for their movie, “Momalland.” It will be a first for real-life besties to make a movie together.

Anne revealed on “It’s Showtime” how nervous she is to do a comedy movie. She said, “Kinakabahan nga ako kasi if you look at the films I did last year, I did a lot of serious films, so it’s gonna be a different genre for me.”

Last year, Anne’s MMFF entry “Aurora” was awarded 2nd Best Picture while Vice’s “Fantastica” was a clear blockbuster hit.

The MMFF third entry this year will be an addition to Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza’s comedy-action adventures. This year, their movie is entitled, “Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity.”
