Season 4 of the hit reality singing contest “The Voice Kids Philippines” is about to return; almost 3 years since it ended in 2016. Bamboo, Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo have all confirmed that they will also be returning as mentors for this upcoming season.

Since the show began, it has produced many of the industry’s celebrated artists. Former contestants like Darren Espanto, Lyca Gairanod, Elha Nympha are all making their names in the industry.

Among those names is the former Camp Kawayan member JK Labajo, whose OPM song “Buwan” became such a huge hit.

JK, who also became an actor, returned to his first love which is music. Years after the show ended and with JK building his own name in the OPM industry, his former mentor Bamboo disclosed that he’s proud of the young man’s achievements.

Coach Bamboo praised JK’s hit song “Buwan.” He told Push, “I’m very proud of him. I think it’s a beautiful song. One of the best songs last year.”

The OPM rock icon added that he is proud of all the “The Voice Kids” contestants finding their own success.

“What do you think I feel ‘no? Maski hindi ko ka-team, if they find success in what they love to do, you know, hands up. I’m very happy,” Bamboo said.

He said, “I think our lives had to go on. I went back to touring, writing. Alam mo naman, all the good stuff for me. So ayun. It’s good to be back. I missed the show.”

The Voice Kids Philippines Season 4 is set to return on August 10.
