Vice Ganda finally broke his silence on the critics of their singing reality show, “Idol Philippines”.
Vice Ganda, along with the other judges of the show, Moira Dela Torre, James Reid and Regine Velasquez have been through some backlash after netizens slammed them for their choices and comments on the show.
Many netizens have aired their disappointments and questioned the credibility of the judges.
For Vice, there is no need to explain himself against critics. During the book launch of his self titled book, “Jose Marie Viceral: Tutoy,” Vice aired his sentiments on the issue.
He was quoted by Push saying, “Bakit ako mag explain sa kanila?:
“Lahat naman ng tao may masasabi sa isa’t-isa. That’s life, accepted ko na yun,” Vice said.
Vice explained that he cannot please those who don’t really like him. On the other hand, those who love him no longer need any explanations.
“Kahit anong explain mo ‘yung mga taong ayaw sa iyo, kahit anong explain mo hindi makikinig. Pero ‘yung mga taong mahal ka, kahit hindi mag explain mauunawan ka,” Vice added.
The Unkabogable Star admitted he is already used to criticisms and would rather not mind it all.
Regine Velasquez also defended her fellow judges; saying they all have their own expertise.
“Mayroon kaming mga kanya kanyang specialty. Ako obviously, sa technicals ako. A lot of times, they don’t even question what I say. So kanya kanya kami ng trabaho. They were chosen because mayroon silang expertise din,” she said.
Despite the controversies, Regine is thankful that the show never fails to trend every time it airs on weekends.
She added that the judges and the contestants’ personalities all give the show a unique flair. The Asia’s Songbird also shared she understands the great responsibility that comes with being an “Idol Philippines” judge.
