One spin on the catwalk was not enough for a beauty queen in Koronadal City.
A Catriona Gray’s slow-mo turn was emphatically upgraded when Miss Gay Universe 2019 contestant Anton Jann Labiang, also known as Fab Antonette, added multi-turns on it.
It was so perfectly done that the internet went crazy about it.
A video of the flawless catwalk, which was punctuated with multiple spins, have been trending on Twitter.
It was posted by Kevin Marco on April 29 and captioned it with: Catriona Gray is cancelled. Since then the eight-second video showing the signature slow-mo turn of Gray followed by two more fast spins have been viewed 1.32-million times already.
The sensational catwalk was indeed the best catwalk in the competition; making Labiang the “Queen of the Ramp.”
Labiang was also hailed as the Miss Gay International 2019 and bagged the Best in Interview award.
Netizens can’t get enough of the multi-turn walk that it has been called with various names. One dubbed it as the “fast-forward turn” while others called it as “beyblade walk” or “torado walk.”
In an interview, Labiang, a professional make-up artist, said that the walk is a “combination of her old-style ramp walk and Gray’s lava walk.”
She said she used to do the “double-turn” when she was competing in her university but this time, she opted to add more twist on it.
“Pinag-isipan ko kasi siya nang mabuti kung maaari ba siyang ma-perform na hindi ako sesemplang,” she shared.
With her hard work on training, she was able to flawlessly perform the catwalk and definitely wowed a lot of pageant enthusiasts.
