Dad sells banana cakes to raise P1.6 M for baby’s liver transplant

A father who has been selling banana cakes to raise P1.6 million for his baby’s liver transplant recently went viral; touching thousands of hearts.

On Facebook, LITRO (LIver TRansplant Operation) Babies Philippines, Inc. founder Jenny Sumalpong shared photos of the father who is carrying his child while selling banana cakes.

“This breaks my heart. They are selling banana cakes to raise funds (P1.6 million) for Baby Aqui’s liver transplant,” she captioned the pictures.

“A father’s love for his son. Salute to you, Sir,” she added.

She also encouraged Facebook users to share the post so it can reach the right people who will buy banana cakes to help the parents raise fund.

“Bili na po kayo. Paki-share, please, para marami bumili at para maoperahan na si Baby,” she wrote.

Sumalpong also asked the help of the mayor and congressman from Laguna to help the family who is living in Calamba City, Laguna.

As of posting, the Facebook post has gotten nearly 15,000 comments, more than 35,000 reactions, and over 124,000 shares. Many netizens have committed to somehow help the family.
