The show, as shared by Ricky Lo on Philippine Star, hails from reality TV heavyweights behind the shows The Voice and American Idol.
The World’s Best was dubbed as “a first-of-its-kind global talent competition that features acts from every genre imaginable, from every corner of the planet.”
The Filipina singer immediately shared photos from the show which she captioned, “I am so excited to announce that I will be one of the 50 #WalloftheWorld judges representing the Philippines in the biggest and the best new show… The Worlds Best!!!!”
“I can’t wait for you to see 49 of the best talents from all over the world. This will premiere in the US on Feb 3, right after the SuperBowl on CBS,” her Facebook post reads.
According to ABS-CBN News, she was introduced as a “music icon” by CBS website.
Meanwhile, the TNT Boys will be a part of the show too. The group – composed of Keifer Sanchez, Mackie Empuerto, and Francis Concepcion – was proclaimed the winner of ABS-CBN’s “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” Season 2.
“Sobrang saya po dahil po isa po kami sa pride ng mga tao dito sa Pilipinas and masaya rin po kami na binabahagi namin ‘yong country namin sa iba’t ibang bansa,” Empuerto said.
[We are very happy because we’re among the pride of the Philippines and we’re happy that we are sharing our country to the world.]
