Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray enjoyed an epic adventure in South Africa.
The beauty queen was recently in South Africa to be part of the Miss South Africa 2019 pageant. Catriona met up with Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss Universe South Africa 2018 Tamaryn Green for the event.
After attending several more important events, such as an LGBTQIA+ community discussion, Catriona was off for another adventure.
kick ed off her first safari adventure at the Legend Golf & Safari Resort. She shared her first experience seeing a family of lions.
Catriona wrote, “So, I was praying to see lions up close and heard in my spirit just to wait. So I was sitting there, 15mins passed by and I was just thinking about how creative God is to create all these animals and scenery. And suddenly we turn a bend and there is a family of lions walking right in front of us.”
The beauty queen also shared that she got emotional after seeing and hearing the story of baby rhinos.
Catriona wrote, “Unique personalities, the need to be loved and cuddled and a goofy sense of humor – up until today I didn’t realise these descriptions could be used to describe baby rhinos.”
She went on to share that the baby rhinos are already orphans and described their predicament.
Catriona said, “As a consequence they come to this facility incredibly dis
tr essed, calling out for their mothers and sometimes eating sand out of str ess.”
Catriona raised awareness on the volunteer group, “The Rhino Orphanage” and urged others to donate and support.
In the end, Catriona capped off her adventure with a photo of her and thanking South Africa for an amazing experience.
