During the presscon for their movie, “Hello, Love, Goodbye”, the Kapuso actor got tearful as he knelt down and hugged their director.

Direk Cathy shared how impressed she was with Alden’s acting skills while filming for their movie. She said she has worked with many good actors and is proud to say that Alden is one of them. The blockbuster director first recalled her initial impressions of Alden.

Direk Cathy said, “Nung sinabi nilang Alden [ang makakasama ni Kathryn Bernardo], sabi ko ‘Hmmm, mataba lang pero mukhang marunong umarte itong batang ito.”

Teasing the crowd, Direk Cathy said her impression was wrong. She said, “Nagkamali ako. Hindi siya marunong. Magaling siya. At napakabait na tao.” With Direk Cathy’s praise, Alden then knelt and hugged the director in appreciation.

On Instagram, Alden had more words of praise for their director. He said working with Direk Cathy was definitely “one of my highlights as an actor.” Alden said, “I am grateful for the opportunity to work and learn from you, Direk. For your words of wisdom and encouragement, Direk Cathy, thank you.”
