- Yam Concepcion and Yen Santos play rival roles in the ABS-CBN soap Halik
- Yam said she does not consider her relationship with Yen as “friendship”
- Halik will have its finale episode on April 26
Actress Yam Concepcion, in an interview with Boy Abunda on Monday, said that she wouldn’t describe her relationship with Yen Santos as “friendship.”
Yam said in the program Tonight With Boy Abunda that she considers her co-star in the ABS-CBN Primetime Bida soap Halik as an acquaintance.
According to her, based on an ABS-CBN News story, she doesn’t want to be plastic; preferring to be as real as possible.
“Sa ginagalawan nating industriya parang palagi na lang you’re always on the safe side and you’re gonna say what others want to hear, you know, but ‘wag na ‘yung gano’n.”
[In the entertainment industry, it seems like you need to always be on the safe side and you are going to say what others want to hear, you know, but that shouldn’t be.]
For her, as per Yam, the meaning of a friend is someone who can be trusted, talked to, and be with.
She said during the eight months that the primetime soap had been on air, she became friends with Nina Dolino.
Nina, as per Yam, is the person who knows her personal life, and to whom she tells her story.
“I really hope, sana talaga, nagkaroon kami ng time ni Yen also, para nakapag-usap kami,” as she pointed out that she had a chance to form friendship with Nina due to their frequent shared scenes, and it’s not the case with Yen.
[I really hope I had time with Yen also, so we could have talked.]
Halik is a Kapamilya Soap starring Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Yen, and Yam.
The show is going to have its finale episode on April 26.
