#GoodSamaritan: Teacher lauds jeepney driver who returned his belongings

Ericko Alegria, a senior high school teacher at Gates Professional School, as per his Facebook profile, expressed gratitude to a jeepney driver for the safekeeping of his belongings which he accidentally left inside a jeepney.

Based on the social media user’s post, he went to the officials of Calumpang who, even at ten in the evening, granted his request to review the CCTV cameras to find the whereabouts of the vehicle he rode in..

He thanked specific persons for their help in finding the jeepney and in contacting the driver.

He further thanked those who helped in the process of getting back his items like Estelita Sta. Ana, Ate Irene, Racquel Dela Cruz, Carlo Dela Cruz and the driver Edgardo Dela Cruz.

He also expressed gratitude to all the staff of the barangay of Calumpang, Marikina.

Edgardo, the teacher said, set his things aside for safekeeping and returned it to him.

“Napakabait talaga ni tatay, very approacheable, at pinasakay pa kami sa kanyang jeep para makapunta sa kanilang bahay at makuha ang aking mga gamit, at sinamahan din kami para makasakay pauwi. Maraming maraming salamat din po sa PASAHERO na di nagdalawang isip na i-surrender ang gamit kay tatay.”

[Edgardo is very kind, very approachable, and even allowed us ride with him to his house to get our things. He also accompanied us to the terminal to go back home. Thank you very much to the passenger who surrendered my things to him.]

The FB story warmed hearts as it hails honesty and kindness from fellow Pinoys.
