- Kris Aquino responded to Gretchen Barreto’s Instagram post
- Gretchen apparently showed support to Nicko Francis
- Nicko has misunderstandings with Kris regarding the latter’s alleged unauthorized spending from her company’s credit card
Queen of all Media Kris Aquino hit back against actress Gretchen Barreto after the latter sided with Nicko Falcis over the former’s alleged power-tripping against her.
“In this issue,” Kris replied to an Instagram comment, “I shall look back on the year 1986. @gretchenbarretto may dislike me now, but she campaigned for my mom against the Marcoses.
“Dedma na sa pagtingin niya sa akin. I have stated this time and time again — I can look beyond insults against me because it’s part of the territory. But if my mother was treated with respect and my sons weren’t hurt — I am chill. So if I can be chill, maybe all of you should be too.”
Her IG comment is a response to Gretchen – who shared a screenshot of a PEP story about the misunderstanding between Nicko Francis and Kris – where she said she feels and salutes him for the courage to speak the truth for his family, name and reputation.
Gretchen wrote in capital letters, “Stop Power Tripping.”
Though she hadn’t identified a person in the post, it seemed like it was addressed to the relative of her longtime partner Tonyboy Cojuangco; PEP shared.
Nicko and Kris had misunderstandings regarding the alleged unauthorized withdrawal of the former from the company’s credit card to pay for his personal needs.
He is the former managing director of the Queen of All Media’s digital company, talent agent and endorsement closer.
The man purportedly spent P1,270.980.00; making her file a qualified theft case against him, to which she’s praying for P32.27-million damages.
Nicko, on the other hand, thanked Gretchen for her support, “Her act of posting this message in open support of my family and I, and against the seemingly formidable Aquino machinery, was a brave and bold move she made. We do not know each other so this is such a blessing, along with thousands of well-meaning messages of strength and support from random people.”
