Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo on Monday belied the accusations that she had undergone a nose surgery, as per a Push story.
In an interview with Tonight With Boy Abunda (TWBA), she disclosed that she’s not affected by people accusing her of being a “retokada” but she asked them to stop.
“Hindi talaga. ‘Ever since hindi ako napikon. Nagpa-retoke, nilaklak ang gluta,’ ‘kasi dati, sobrang itim niyan tapos ngayon ang puti?’ – Puwede bang nag-mature lang kaya ganoon?.”
[No. Ever since I never got offended. She underwent a surgery, took in a lot of glutathion, ‘because she’s dark before and now she’s fair-skinned?’ – Couldn’t it be possible that I just matured?]
She added that there’s nothing wrong when someone decides to undergo a surgery to enhance his or her face because it’s their body.
Moreover, based on a PEP post, she said she initially felt bad on the “maarte” and “pabebe” comments from other people but she already learned how to be unrattled by criticisms.
“Dati affected, ngayon hindi. ‘Yung dating Kathryn. Ngayon, hindi na masyado. Lahat tayo, may kaartehan…Oo maarte ako minsan talaga, and wala naman masama basta nasa lugar, of course. E, alam ko naman na hindi ako maarte na wala sa lugar.]
[I am affected before but not anymore. It’s the former Kathryn. Now, not much. Each of us has kaartehan, and I am, sometimes, there’s nothing wrong in it if it’s reasonable, of course. I know I’m not like that when I shouldn’t be.]
Kathryn is with Sharon Cuneta and Richard Gomez in the still-showing Three Words To Forever film.
