- Sick old woman needs help
- She has no child to ask help from
- Support poured from social media users
One of the great things about Filipino families is the tradition of grandparents residing with their children even if the latter are already married; thus, love and attention continues in their own homes. Here, the elders feel happier knowing they could help their children — which makes them feel they’re important.
In some countries, on the other hand, families take their grandparents to a nursing home or home-for-the-aged facility where most apparently suffer from the emotional stress of not being with their families.
Recently, a netizen shared the story of an old woman who’s sick and there’s no one to take care of her because she has no child.
Netizen Nicole Alvero Gripon is asking for a small favor to help the old woman.
