TV personality Ethel Bobba used her social media account to express sentiments on the political dynasties widespread in the Philippine government system.

“Political dynasty ay parang fast food lang. Nagtatayo ng iba’t ibang branch. Charot!” she posted through Twitter on Saturday.

[A political dynasty is like a fast food (chain). It builds different branches. Charot!]

Her post went viral with more than 4,750 likes and over 670 retweets as of posting.

The netizens, meanwhile, amazed by her wittiness, shared their own comparisons to a political dynasty.

One posted, “Political dynasty ay parang toll gate Lang, lahat Ng dumaan magbabayad dahil lagi silang nakalahad sa handang mangsuhol.”

[A political dynasty is like a toll gate. Each car that passes is prepared to pay because they are always up for somebody who gives a bribe.]

Another said, “Parang family of doctors lang daw yan. Statement coming from a family of corrupt politicians.”

[That is just like a family of doctors. Statement coming from a family of corrupt politicians.]

“Ang mga politiko madami silang branch pero wala namang silbi kuha ng kuha ng pondo, buti pa yung jollibee generally maganda ang serbisyo,” commented another.

[Politicians have many branches but they are useless, they only get funds. Jollibee is better because they give good service.]

Booba, in an earlier tweet, called out for the passage of the anti-dynasty bill, the freedom of information bill and the anti-epal bill.

According to Inquirer, the TV personality said on October 11 when Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla’s filed her certificate of candidacy, their family’s opponent won’t succeed in the coming poll.

“Effective na family business tong politika huh. Charot!”

[Politics is an effective family business, huh.]
