Chris Evans, a Hollywood actor playing the role of Captain America, has appeared to bid farewell to the role of Captain America after completing filming the fourth Avengers movie.
The actor, after playing the role for a decade, announced on Thursday via Twitter that by finishing the new movie, he has officially wrapped up his role as America’s beloved super soldier.
“Officially wrapped on ‘Avengers 4,'” he wrote. “It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last (eight) years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.”
Evans has become a Marvel Cinematic Universe icon since his debut as Captain America in the 2011 movie “Captain America: The First Avenger” and has then played the role numerous times over the years including: The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War, as well as the upcoming untitled Avengers film, due to be released next year.
Anyway, It’s possible that following Evans’ retirement, another Captain America could rise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
