- This confirms Velasquez’s transfer to ABS-CBN
Carmina Villaroel is set to replace Regine Velasquez-Alcasid in the musical cooking show Sarap Diva! The title will be changed to Sarap D Ba? to apparently remove the musical part and focus on being a cooking talk show.
Could this be the reason why we’re seeing a lot of yummy posts on Carmina’s Instagram account?
According to Jojo Gabinete’s story published on PEP PH, the upcoming finale of Sarap Diva confirms the coming transfer of Velasquez to the Kapamilya Network.
Rumors have been circulating earlier on social media that the singer’s last show in GMA would be the singing tilt The Clash.
The Clash is still being aired in the Kapuso channel; a talent competition show with a format of one versus everyone wherein the last contestant standing wins.
Moreover, Velasquez is noticeably absent as per the cast of the upcoming GMA musical variety show Studio 7.
The singer is regarded for her vocal range, agility, and belting technique; making her the “Asia’s Songbird”.
Her husband Ogie Alcasid has earlier transferred to ABS-CBN.
Villaroel will be joined by her children Cassandra and Maverick in the retitled Sarap D Ba? which is set to be aired starting the third week of October 2018.
