Expert Debunks Viral Video Claiming ‘Yolanda’ is a Man-Made Typhoon

Dutchsinse, a weather-watcher, posted a video in Youtube that discusses the emissions of microwave pulses coming from the upper area of the globe which, he confidently says, is the alleged cause why the super typhoon was formed. He is linking the latest storm formations including ‘Zoraida’ as a man-made microwave directed storm.

But Dr. Mahar Lagmay, scientist and professor in University of the Philippines and executive director of Project Noah, belied the viral video and says that the man behind that video failed to prove his hypothesis.

“I see no relation as of the moment… There’s no very solid demonstration of its (microwave pulse) relation with how it generates cyclones, how this makes the water evaporate and accumulate in a particular area. It’s simply not well-documented,” Lagmay stated.

“You don’t prove something through your golden voice or the way you speak it out. What he was doing is that he was trying to name-drop Stanford University to boost his argument. Let’s just put it this way. In science, you have to demonstrate it. It must be repeatable and it must be testable. He was not able to do that and, therefore, it’s not proven,” he added.

Lagmay watched the video himself, and noticed other questionable information Dutchsinse made.

“From the images he was showing, it would appear that the typhoon was already developed when he was showing the microwave pulses that were being transmitted. And the second thing that I noticed was that he was also relating the microwave pulses with the occurrence of earthquakes, and what we know about earthquakes is that they form because of the accumulation of energy due to earth movements,” he noted.

“And through time, this energy is accumulated along faults and it does not at all relate to any type of microwave he was referring to. And, in that sense, I would think that that person who keeps on stating or mentioning the word Stanford to boost his credibility, I think is just pulling a trick on us,” he continued.

He also said that while anyone is eligible in making hypothesis, he should be able to ‘prove it to be considered as something that is really happening’. “He must be able to demonstrate it well, clearly. And it must be repeatable. As of this moment, there is no reason to believe this person.”

“It’s just not possible to come up with a Google image or video of what he was demonstrating, which is hard to test and hard to examine, and come up with incredible, incredulous statements about the relationship of these microwave pulses. It’s just not possible in science,” he said.

However, he confirms that there were studies about the same topic and it is called, ‘climate engineering’. “There are research projects that want to test whether it is possible to inject aerosols and sulfur into the atmosphere. It’s a project that was shut down by the government because of public complaints.”

“They say it is possible that the amount and the location where you could put it could control the climate in any particular region. That’s the closest I know, and this one, the microwave theory, this conspiracy theory, has yet to be proven well.”

  1. apparently possible that it is the radiated water evaporates in the sky from nuclear power plant in japan that disturb the natural flow of the storm in fact most of us know that it is still leaking till this moment and in the next few years it will rise the volume of contamination in the ocean and destroy human and other living things on earth.
